Farm Fresh Milk

Sandy River Farms is proud of its legacy of raising excellent nationally recognized Milking Shorthorn under the tutelage of Brenda York who brought the first Shorthorns to the farm in 1963 from her childhood farm, Voter Hills Farm also in Farmington. With the addition of registered Holsteins, the farm has a herd of 30 milk cows with another 50 head of young stock. They sell bull calves when available, mostly in the late spring and summer. Call the farm for the availability of steer calves.

Sandy River Farms also bottles and sells unprocessed milk at the farm which can be purchased anytime by stopping by the farm. The cooler in the milkhouse is always stocked with gallons of whole milk at the cost of $5.00 per gallon. Fresh eggs are also available for $4.00 a dozen.

The Market across from the farm sells chocolate, strawberry and regular milk in all sizes.  They also use our milk to make frozen custard in many flavors.
